Symbol and title block attributes propagate information stored in the database.
Menu: Edit symbol > Insert attribute Menu: Edit title block > Insert attribute |
When you launch the command, a dialog box lists the available attributes.
Attributes already present in the symbol or title block are shown in blue.
1. Select the check boxes next to the listed attributes to make them available for insertion into the symbol or the title block.
2. Click on OK to close the dialog box and display the attribute insertion dockable panel.
This panel lets you change settings (such as font and height) applied to the attributes prior to placement.
Lets you place attributes (horizontally or vertically); define font settings, justification, height, other properties for the attribute(s); as well as the spacing between each attribute.
Adds a new attribute. |

Deletes the selected attributes. |

Reorders attributes. |
3. In the graphics area, click the insertion point of the attribute group.
The attribute contextual menu allows you to copy, modify, edit or delete it.

The attributes are used to propagate data across the scheme. This is sometimes represented by a long character string, such as for a manufacturer part. You can manage this data across several lines. In this case, the single attribute is replaced by a multiple attribute.

This feature is only available when an attribute is selected. The insertion attribute dialog box opens to select the attribute you want.

To simplify the attribute management (such as the position or the text size), this feature allows you to display in the graphical area, the attributes from different styles. It only changes the graphical aspect, the name is not modified.
Show attributes: Displays the attribute name or allows you to show the attributes if they have been hidden. |

Show sample values: Replaces the attribute by an example of the value it can receive. In this mode, you cannot edit the attribute properties. |

Show attribute description: Replaces the attribute by its description. In this mode, you cannot edit the attribute properties. |

Hide attributes: Hides the attributes. |
