Revisions

Only books, cover pages and drawings are assigned revision numbers. Revision numbers are managed individually, rather than on a project level. Revision numbers are formatted according to the project configuration parameters.

 

You can set the revision index during drawing creation.

An option dialog box opens asking you if you want to update the report and terminal strip drawings (according to the project configuration settings).

Update drawings: All report, design rule and terminal strip drawings are updated before running the command.

Continue action without updating: Report, design rule and terminal strip drawings are not updated and the command runs.

Cancel: The command stops and drawings are not updated.

 

 

The revision management dialog opens.

 

Validate / Verify: The current revision must first be validated to create a new revision. This will record the date and user name that the revision was validated under. The Validate button will then change to Verify. Once you or another user verifies the revision, the date and user name will be recorded for the verification, and you will be able to create a new revision.

If you create a new revision index on a book, and after to verify this index, a dialog box opens allowing to propagate this index on all documents contained in the book.

New revision: Creates a new revision index.

Open revision: Edits the last revision index.

Delete: Deletes the last revision index.

Edit: Opens the revision properties dialog box to edit data associated with the revision index.

Restore snapshot: Allows to restore a snapshot attached to a revision index.

The Customize... button lets you access user data parameters specifically related to revision indexes.

 

After a new revision index creation, different dialog boxes open to let you to print the book documents, to export the book documents to PDF file and to create a snapshot.
