Translate project texts

SOLIDWORKS Electrical lets you input data in several languages. All these translations can be reviewed in a single interface.

Menu: Process > Translate

Dockable panel > Contextual menu of project: Translate

A dialog box opens, letting you enter or modify the translations for different component properties and multilingual texts within the project.

Click on the corresponding text to edit the translation.

Export / Import: Manages the translation in another application (Excel, Access, Sqlite formats). Only one occurrence of the text is exported.

In the Language selector dialog box, select the base language for the translation. A message box opens asking you if you want to open the file.

Don't modify the file structure, otherwise you could not import your translations.

Add/Remove languages: Allows to select the languages you want to use and translate in your project. The Language selector dialog box opens, check the boxes corresponding to the languages. Only the languages that are not present in the project are displayed. If you remove an existing language, a message box opens asking you to confirm your choice.

Delete translations: For the selected text, deletes all the translations except the main language used in the project properties.

Find/Replace: Allows you to search for and replace text.

You can enter text in the filter zone. The list will then only display text with the entered character string.

Configuration: Allows you to manage the display settings for items in the dialog box.

Hide empty texts: Hides the empty texts in the main language.

Hide already translated texts: Hides the texts that are already translated in all languages.
