Whichever Manager you open, all of the features described below are common to all of the managers, differing only in content. The following chapter shows you how to import a symbol. The features are the same when importing a title block or a 2D footprint.
To feed your libraries (such as Symbols and title blocks) you can import files in DWG format.

The import assistant can appears in different ways depending on the elements you wish to import.
Add files: Opens a file selection dialog box. You can select DWG files or archive files (ZIP) containing symbols, title blocks, or 2D footprints.
Add a folder: Opens a directory selection dialog box. All of the DWG files contained in this folder/directory are added to the import assistant.
Delete: Deletes the selected element from the list.
To go to the next step, click Next.
Import configuration: Lets you select a configuration containing the import parameters.
A list is created displaying the elements to be imported.

Select all: Allows you to select all the symbols displayed in the list. |

Properties: Opens the dialog box of the properties of the selected symbols (title blocks). When you select several symbols (title blocks), the dialog box only displays the common properties. The symbol (title block) properties can be edited by a double-click. |
Action: Select in the list the action you want to assign to the symbol (title block).
Name: Displays the symbol (title block) name.
Description: A description can be added by editing the properties.
Unit system: Select in the list the unit system in which the symbol (title block) has been drawn.
Class: You can associate a class with the selected element.
Library: Select the library in which you want to store the element.
Modification date: Displays the date of the import.
The next step involves associating the attributes managed by the software and the attributes that might be present in the imported element.
Replace by: Click the [...] button to select the new attribute.
Action: Select the option (Replace / Delete / Do nothing) you want.
The last step of the assistant allows you to save the various settings you have used for the import. These parameters can be reused for a new import.
If you used a configuration file, you can update it. If you did not use a configuration file, you can save your settings in a new configuration file.
Click Finish to import the elements or Cancel to cancel the import. This is the last dialog box allowing you to cancel the import.
